Are Journee letters written by AI?

Written by Moritz

The story worlds, overall plots, tone, and creative direction behind Journee are created by us. That part is very much human, and it is at the heart of what makes Journee feel like Journee.

We do use AI as a tool behind the scenes to help automate parts of the personalisation process. In practice, that means AI is mainly assembling story elements and building blocks we have already written and defined, while tailoring certain details so each adventure feels personal to your child. It is not simply generating a story from scratch every time and sending it out blindly.

We have built it this way very intentionally. We want each story to feel genuinely personal to the child receiving it, while the storytelling itself remains thoughtful, coherent, and warm. That balance matters because children tend to engage more with reading when it connects to their own interests and feels relevant to them.

For us, that is where the magic lies: combining a carefully crafted story world with a level of personalisation that helps the child feel truly part of it.

So the short answer is: Journee is human-crafted storytelling, with AI used carefully in the background to personalise the details.
